Plans approved for 24-unit industrial scheme
Plans to create a major new 24-unit industrial park in Coventry have been approved.
Full planning permission has been granted Coventry City Council to transform a brownfield site on Endemere Road with a new multi-let industrial park.
The scheme, which will be called Albion Enterprise Park, will provide 24 units ranging in size from 1,000 to 3,000 sq ft to help meet growing demand in the region.
It follows planning permission at the start of the year for a similar industrial scheme on Stonebridge Trading Estate, Rowley Drive.
Combined, the two exciting new schemes will help to provide 33 units in total, £8.5 million worth of investment, and bring business and employment opportunities to Coventry.
Work at the new Albion Enterprise Park will begin this year, ready for tenancy next year.
Mike Vining, Land and Development Director, said: “This is fantastic news for the region. This scheme responds to the acute demand for industrial space in a well-connected location such as this, and so it is no surprise that we have already received interest in these units.
“We are now exploring finance and funding options in the coming months ahead of commencing work later in the year.”
The scheme on Endemere Road will provide sustainable and modern industrial units with office and storage space catering for small businesses, along with 72 car parking spaces.
The 1.88-acre brownfield site at the back of the Albion Industrial Estate is currently vacant following the demolition of dilapidated pre-war industrial units.
It is close to the A444, with connectivity to the national transport network including the M6 and M69.
